Rinor Komoni is the founder and principal of Komoni Architecture PLLC, a New York City–based practice. A registered architect in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, he brings nearly two decades of international experience, including more than ten years dedicated to two of the world's most celebrated airport projects.

Born and raised in Kosovo, Rinor moved to the United States at seventeen. After earning his Master of Architecture in Vermont, he joined Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) in New York in 2008, working on various large-scale projects and urban planning in China. In 2010, he moved to Abu Dhabi, where he spent seven years on the construction phase of the new Abu Dhabi International Airport — now Zayed International Airport, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful airports in the world. He then moved to Singapore in 2018 as Design Manager for Changi Airport Terminal 5, the world's most anticipated airport project, a role he held until setting out on his own in 2022.

Rinor is now based in New York City, where he leads his practice with the rigor of large-scale international aviation work and the personal attention of a founder-led studio.

Tom brings over 50 years of experience in architecture, design, and construction processes. After graduating from Hartwick College in NY, he served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Europe, where he spent four years overseeing engineering plans for U.S. forces and peacetime construction. He later earned a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma and became Director of Planning and Construction Services for the Oklahoma State Health Care System.

In 1980, Tom founded Architectural Design Group (ADG), which grew to over 100 employees and operated in 30 states, completing major projects in healthcare, education, hospitality, housing, museum, sports and aviation. He retired in 2022 and moved to New York City, where he met Rinor and began advising him in building his firm. With his extensive leadership and project management experience, Tom continues to provide valuable guidance to support Rinor’s clients and growing practice.

In addition to his professional endeavors, he has held the following positions: Westminster School Board of Trustees, Oklahoma American Institute of Architects Board, Oklahoma City Planning Commission, Integris Health Care System Board of Trustees, Willowview Mental Health System Board, Leadership OKC, and many other community institutions. Tom has held architectural licenses in over 30 states and is currently licensed in New York.

Holding a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Architecture in Prishtina, and a career spanning over 15 years, Artan has consistently demonstrated his expertise in the field. Starting in 2006 at Anarch, one of Kosovo’s leading architectural firms, Artan contributed to a wide array of projects, ranging from residential to commercial and hospitality, where he demonstrated versatility and dedication. He

quickly became a key asset within the company and played an integral role in Southeastern Europe’s most significant projects. His

experience and commitment to excellence has consistently driven successful outcomes.
